Police investigating West Jordan kidnapping

According to the West Jordan police department, a 13-year-old girl called police when she saw a red SUV approach a 12-year-old girl at the Utah Idaho Supply Store, near 7794 South Redwood Road around 6 p.m.
Police say a man in his 40's jumped out of the car and demanded the girl get in the car. When the girl refused, authorities say the man grabbed a gun from the car, grabbed the girl by the hair, and forced her into the car.

The victim is described as being about 12 years old with long, blonde hair. The girl was wearing a pink beanie, a gray jacket and blue shorts of mid-thigh length.
The suspect is described as a male believed to be in his 40s who is either Hispanic or white. The man was wearing a brightly colored shirt and shorts that were black or gray.
The vehicle is described as a red SUV of an older model that had silver or gray striping. The vehicle had damage to the left bumper, which had been repaired by black duct tape.
ETA: Another description of vehicle
The vehicle is described as a red Ford Explorer with gray striping. The vehicle also had damage to the front bumper, which appeared to have been repaired with duct tape.
