Bizarre, horrific boiling fountain accident in Siberia
In a catastrophe that hit Abakan, Russia residents with little warning, a fountain of boiling hot water as tall as an apartment block suddenly burst through a road.
The incident, which seems to have happened Wednesday afternoon, followed local authorities in the Siberian town turning on the centralized heating systems for apartments as temperatures dropped.
The road began to buckle and hiss, a few stones flew out and then a towering jet of scalding water shot out. It's unknown if there were any injuries but from the photos of smashed windows and cars in pits of boiling water, it will be very fortunate if there aren't.
