Koomer Ridge Campground, located on Cumberland Ranger District in the Red River Gorge, features semi-primitive camping in a tranquil forest setting. The campground provides access to trails in the Red River Gorge.

Who are these boys? Brothers? Who were they last seen by and who were they with? Odd they are not being named.

Were they camping with their family? Strange that authorities ' believe they MIGHT be missing in the woods...' They don't sound like they believe the story being told, imo.

Cousins, ages 5 and 7, missing from Wolfe County campground

About 80 people searched through the night without finding two boys, ages 5 and 7, who disappeared from an eastern Kentucky campground Thursday evening, according to WLEX-TV, the NBC affiliate in Lexington.

Family members told WLEX that 5-year-old Michael Esposito and his 7-year-old cousin Adrian Ross disappeared from the Koomer Ridge campground while the adults they were with were setting up a tent and cooking.

Children from Ohio, Indiana missing in Red River Gorge

Crews are searching for two young cousins who went missing from a camp ground in Kentucky’s Red River Gorge Thursday.

Wolfe County officials say 5-year-old Michael Esposito and 7-year-old Adrian Ross were last seen a round 6 p.m. at the Koomer Ridge Campground.

The boys were on a family trip from Ohio and Indiana, according to Kentucky State Police.

The boys wandered off while family members set up a tent and cooked dinner, Michael's mother told WLEX. She said it appears there was a miscommunication about who was keeping an eye on the children.

Search and rescue crews used helicopters with infrared technology in the overnight search. Dozens of volunteers and dogs will continue to search efforts Friday, officials report.

I just found this article, and the photo of Adrian definitely is not of a blonde hair little boy. I wish I knew how to post the photos.

The boys had gone to the campsite with the younger boy's father and a grandfather of both boys, Veeneman said. The men were setting up the campsite when the boys disappeared, he said. The men and boys had gone ahead of other family members who were to join them, he said.

From reading the reviews, this camp area has hosts, and is heavily trafficked in Spring and Fall....very concerning. IMHO

"I think it was a situation where both of them thought the other one was watching the boys," Julia Esposito told WLEX-TV. "There were five boys, all running around like crazy, and, you know, if you see three of the five at any given time, you don't necessarily realize that two of them are not there."
This is a quote on wave3.com from one boy's mother. It was added on an update to the above link.
