NV - Heather Tallchief of $3.1 million heist turns self in

    http://cnn.netscape.cnn.com/ns/news/...1348712830.htm

This has been one of my all time favorite cases...she stole 3.1 million dolllars in an armored car heist aided by Robert Solis who is still at large...For some reason, I am sorry she gave herself up - I know that goes against all of society's rules! it is a fascinating case...the link is above

Heather Tallchief of $3.1 million heist, turns self in

After many years on the run, she wanted her son to have a normal life so she turned herself in...this was my favorite case........her co-conspirator, Robert Solis is still on the run and Heather says she has no idea where he is........
America's Most Wanted has lots of info on this case as well

I wonder if LE was hot on her trail or if she was just tired of hiding? I remember this being profiled on Unsolved Mysteries. It would be interesting to see an interview with her when all is said and done.

I think she should have waited till her son was 18 to turn herself in...she waited 10 years, whats a few more. Now he'll have to grow up without her unless she's really hoping to get off on the brainwashed defense.

I think it's the "fantasy" of wondering what she's doing that would want me not to turn herself in. how sad that she's been dragging her child around like that though. and sounds like - in the article, she never received any of the money either. Hopefully they can go easy on her a bit.
