The area where the victim was discovered is secluded. Rural farmhouses that dot the stretch are set far back from the road. There are no lights along the road, or the bridge crossing the creek, which is surrounded by dense forest and marsh, with thick bulrushes making it very difficult to move through.

Ontario Provincial Police are asking for the publics assistance to identify the body found Wednesday evening on County Road 20 about 20 minutes south of Kemptville.
OPP Sgt. Kristine Rae said detectives are focusing their investigation on areas in the municipality of North Grenville, which groups a number of rural hamlets such as Bishops Mills and Oxford Station. The body was found in the area of Kemptville Creek, near the junctions of county roads 20 and 18 near Bishop Mills.
Police confirmed the body was that of a man between 20 and 30 years old, but released few details on how the body was discovered or the cause of death.
The victim is described as being Caucasian, slim and fit, with no tattoos or piercings, with short, dark hair and a well-groomed beard. He was last seen wearing Jack Jones brand jeans, a T-shirt with the hardcore metal band Banes logo on it and a dog-tag with the words Count Me Out, the title of one of the bands most popular songs, stamped into the metal.
Police would not confirm whether the man was found stuffed into a duffle bag, as has been previously reported, or whether he was found on the side of the road or in the Kemptville Creek.
The area where the mans body was found remained closed to residents Friday.
