A 26-year-old woman who was found murdered under a bridge has been remembered as a 'beautiful' and 'loving soul' who 'made the world a better place'.
Marnielee Cave's naked body was spotted floating in the Bega River under Mogareeka Bridge in Tathra on the NSW south coast by a member of the public on Wednesday morning.
Friends and family have paid tribute to the 'kind' 26-year-old who studied at TAFE and tutored a number of children in Bega.
Detective Inspector Kevin McNeil from the Far South Coast Local Area Command said they were treating it as a murder case and appealed for people to come forward with any information.
'We're sure that she has been murdered,' he said.

It’s believed Ms Cave had begun a new relationship in recent months. Several friends commented how happy she appeared to be in images she posted on her Facebook page.

A woman has been charged with murdering another woman whose body was found under a bridge at Tathra on the New South Wales far south coast.

Officers arrested Rosemary Mackie, 52, at a property in Bega on Tuesday and charged her with murder and wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

In Batemans Bay Local Court today, Mackie sat expressionless in the dock as her charges were read out.

She did not apply for bail and it was formally refused.

She is scheduled to reappear in court in Bega via videolink on December 15.

She was the bubbly, happy friend who spent her days caring for children and handing out meals through a church to those who needed it.

But last week Marnielee Cave, 26, became the one in need, after telling a friend about a death threat she had received from someone in her past.

Days later, her body was found under the Mogareeka Bridge in the coastal hamlet of Tathra, 20 kilometres from her home in Bega on the NSW Far South Coast.

Mr Aberdeen said Ms Cave approached him a week ago, unnerved after receiving a death threat from someone she knew.

"She was a bit worried due to the fact that person was a bit intimidating," he said.

The murder trial for Rosemary Priscilla Mackie of Bega has been adjourned until January 29, 2018.

The Supreme Court trial was due to begin in Bega Courthouse on Monday, October 16.
