Carroll allegedly stabbed Jennings to death after a verbal altercation. The three friends reportedly left Jennings' body in the woods.

Ten days later, Nixon and Morton reportedly came back to get it and disposed of the body in Somerset County.

From last month:

Kevin Andrew Nixon, 22, was enrolled in the fall as a senior at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore before turning himself in to Somerset County authorities that charged him with accessory after the fact of murder in both the first- and second-degree.

Nixon has pleaded not guilty in the case set to go to trial Feb. 29 and March 1 in Princess Anne Circuit Court...

A Nov. 23 indictment against Nixon has led to a separate charge of accessory after statute in Baltimore County...

Murder trial for former UMES student changes locations - August

A murder case involving a former UMES student has been transferred to a Baltimore County court from circuit court in Somerset County, where Kevin Nixon was initially scheduled to stand trial this week, said Wess Garner, deputy state's attorney in Somerset.

"If you can't determine the location of a murder," then the location "the body was found will have jurisdiction or venue," Garner said Wednesday, Aug. 24. "Newly discovered evidence placed jurisdiction in Baltimore County, and we could no longer proceed."

The same evidence also transfers the case of murder suspect Elijah Carroll, a Baltimore man accused along with Nixon in the October 2015 murder of Baltimore stylist Damon Jennings whose body was found stabbed to death in a ditch alongside Backbone Road.

The most recent update I could find was from last month although no future trial date was established.

Two plead guilty to murder in Baltimore fashion stylist's 2015 death

Elijah Carroll, 24, and Kevin Nixon, 23, admitted they killed Jennings at Loch Raven Reservoir.

Prosecutor Perry Wasserman said Nixon held Jennings down while Carroll stabbed him "over and over again." Jennings suffered 167 stab and cut wounds, he said.

Carroll and Nixon each pleaded guilty to a single count of first-degree murder.

Finifter did not set a date for sentencing. Prosecutors said they plan to ask for 30-year sentences for each man.

Jennings' cousin, Craig Short, and his great-uncle, Rodney Jones, said that many in the courtroom did not know the specifics of the killing until they heard them Wednesday.

They described Jennings as a devout Christian who attended church every Sunday.

"He was a very, very kind and considerate person," Jones said. "That's why the family was so shocked and stunned when we found out what happened — because he was never in any trouble."
