Good question, typically we have a thread for each case and keep them both updated.

WLOS just announced on the noon news that Byrd's truck has been found. No other information, and it's not on their website yet.

Body found near the Bakersville area. They call it an active crime scene, but don't give any more details. May or may not be related to the case, but I think it is.

Live scanner feeds at the link, but I really need to get back to work instead of listening.

Mainstream confirmation of finding a body. Not believed to be Byrd.

(modsnip). I guess we'll hear all about it on the news at 5pm. Sad, because I was hoping for both of the women to be found alive.

It is so sad. I too am hoping that both Lisa and Sarah are alive.

On the ex wife's fb, she states that he is unstable, also tried to take her daughter..and killed 2 women. I hope he is the man they have in custody.

The evidence they have found appears to be bones, according to the sheriff.

Byrd is under arrest for an outstanding identity theft warrant.

According to some news outlets, the evidence is related to the missing women, and according to others, it's still unclear.

This article states that the remains found in Mitchell County are tied to the missing women. I read earlier today that they found the remains based on a tip from somebody. I wonder if Byrd was the tipster or if somebody else gave them information on both where to find the remains and how to find Byrd. http://www.citizen-times.com/story/n...tody/75173530/

"The investigation has been tied to Riddle's disappearance as well as the disappearance of Lisa Ann Robbins, 49, who was reported missing from her residence near Bakersville on Oct. 23."

"It looks as if itís tied in together," Street said of the discovery of human remains.

Byrd's mother picked him up, and he was arrested when the car he was riding in was stopped. I suppose that means she was driving. I would guess she was the tipster (my guess only).

    Breaking news this morning.
    http://www.wlos.com/news/features/to...l#.VjtLsSswfO0
Byrd is due in court today. They have charged him with the murder of Lisa Robbins, based on what he said during a 6-hour interrogation. The original charge of identity theft came because he was using Sarah Riddle's EBT card. They are going to search Byrd's property today for Sarah.
    RIP, Lisa.

It sounds like they know the remains found yesterday are Lisa.

The sad thing is, I don't think they were really doing much in terms of looking for her when she was first reported missing. LE didn't really jump into action until Sarah Denise went missing too.

    RIP Lisa.
