    From April:

6 months later, still no arrests in shooting death of Mt. Oliver boy

    http://www.wpxi.com/news/6-months-la...-boy/249182920

This Sunday will be bittersweet for Amanda McKnight. Her son, C.J. Conrad, who she almost lost late last year, will celebrate his 17th birthday, but the day will also mark six months since the shooting that ended the life of her 11-year-old son David McIntyre.

“I said, ‘What do you want for your birthday?’ and he said, ‘I want David back.’ Realistically, I wish I could do that, but I can't,” McKnight said.

“It shocks me (that no one has come forward with information), but then it doesn't shock me at all at the same time,” she said.

Despite a $2,000 reward for information on the shooter, the case remains unsolved.

Mom Pleads For Information On Anniversary Of 11-Year-Old Son’s Shooting Death - October 31st

    http://pittsburgh.cbslocal.com/2016/...r-anniversary/

Tuesday marks one year since an 11-year-old boy was shot and killed in his own home.

The boy’s mother, Amanda McKnight, is once again pleading for information that might lead to the killer.

She says the fact there’s been no arrest a year later is beyond frustrating.

“How could no one see nothing or hear nothing? I still can hear the sound of that gun,” said McKnight. “Turn this person in, turn yourself in. If you know who did it, turn this actor in cause what if it were your son?”

C.J. describes the gunman as a white man, about six-feet tall, with a thin build, dark hair and wearing a black hoodie.

Mother still seeks answers 2 years after 11-year-old son's shooting death

Two years ago Wednesday, David McIntyre was shot and killed while playing video games in the families Mt Oliver home. His brother, CJ, who was 16 at the time, was shot 8 times, but survived.

Amanda called the gunman a coward and said she never thought he would get away with it, but so far he has.

“I was hoping by now I’d know something. I want to know the someone and the reason.
County police solve more murders than Pittsburgh. But mothers like Amanda McKnight see stalled cases, not justice. - May 2017

After 18 months, maybe she wouldn’t be so desperately looking for answers. Maybe she could accept that county homicide detectives have nothing. No leads, no theory. Nothing from any witness to explain how an innocent child can be shot to death playing PlayStation 2 in his own living room.

But David McIntyre — only 11 years old — didn’t die by accident.

The Allegheny County Police admit they’re stuck. A year and a half later, they say they’ve run down every lead they had. Now they’re relying on any rumor or shred of a clue to push the case forward.

“I’m not saying that nobody is above my child,” McKnight, 37, says. “But here’s an 11-year-old child, an 11-year-old boy….murdered in his own home, and you don’t have nothing?”
CJ, who has David’s name etched in a tattoo of a cross on his forearm, did see the shooter. He described him as a white man in his late twenties or early thirties. He wasn’t wearing a mask or gloves. McKnight can’t believe the shooter wouldn’t hide himself for the crime but cowers now. CJ’s memories are patchy, though, and detectives have known what he saw for more than a year.

McKnight’s father was there, too, but in a different room when the shooting started. He rushed to David’s side, and she thinks the emotional trauma took a toll on his health. He passed away in August from a heart attack.

This is a really strange case. I can't believe neighbors didn't see or hear anything.
