"Toronto police have released security camera footage of their suspect in a retirement home theft in which a woman dressed in scrubs allegedly stole cash from a resident's room.

Police allege that the woman walked into the Living Life on the Avenue retirement residence, in the Avenue Road and Eglinton Avenue area, around 1:50 p.m. on Nov. 2. A short time later, a 91-year-old resident returned to her room to find the woman inside. The suspect allegedly ransacked the room before fleeing with more than $1,000 in cash."

"According to police, a woman in her 30s wearing scrubs went into the retirement home, and allegedly stole $1,000 from the elderly woman’s apartment.

When the senior returned to her apartment, she found the woman inside who then fled.

Police have released security camera images of the suspect, which can be seen here.

Police believe there may be more victims.

The woman is described as thin with shoulder-length brown hair. She was wearing hot-pink scrubs, a white baseball cap, white shoes and a royal blue lanyard with a white name tag."

She knows exactly where she's going.

It certainly looks that way and she also seemed to know to zero in on the resident with 1k in room.
The poi is listed as brown-haired and it does look that way, but in some frames it seems almost dirty-blondish/reddish, frizzy- tied back with black material, imo, speculation.

As per hair colour, at 0:9 -10 of first posted video.

In a completely separate robbery from the retirement home pic of poi released, the female imo, reminds me very much of the poi female in this case.
Both females, imo. have similar hair in ponytails held by what appears to be a black scrunchy of some kind and both seem to me to be slightly pigeon toed or knock-kneed. Granted, the pseudo retirement home staff member appears to be thinner, so could be way off.
Only an opinion and speculation, ect.

Initially thought that the female dressed in scrubs seemed to know where she was going when the 1k was stolen from one resident, in fact- the poi had tried several doors to rooms.

"Once inside, police alleged that the woman attempted to enter units until she found one that was unlocked and unoccupied. The woman then ransacked the room, stealing the cash from purses and wallets, police said. About $1,000 in cash was taken from a senior’s room."

Gosh, that woman is bold!

People should be able to keep money safely in their homes, but, on the other hand, $1000 is quite a bit of cash for a 91 yr old woman to have in her purse. I wonder if this was a special withdrawal, and that someone noticed her at the bank.

Good point about the bank, maybe the poi only knew which retirement building the senior lived in, but perhaps, not which room she was in, so poi may have tried several doors taking whatever cash she could find, until locating the big prize? imo
