11-29-2015, 10:33 AM #2The man had been beaten severely and cut with a sharp weapon like a machete. The attack was so vicious, police said, the man`s jaw, several teeth, and an area under his nose had been sliced away. The cause of death was officially listed as multiple stab wounds.
Investigation of the one piece of evidence, a ring bearing the German word ``Kriegsgluck,`` also led detectives to a wall.
``Kriegsgluck means `war luck` in German and we believe the ring may be presented to German soldiers. But we`ve tried German-American clubs, German nationals living in this area, and we couldn`t learn anything,`` said Miramar Detective George Pierson.
Pierson admits that although the ring was found near the body, police cannot determine whether it belonged to the victim.
As a ``last ditch effort,`` a Broward Sheriff`s Office forensic artist made a facial reconstruction of the victim, molding features around a cast of the victim`s skull. Photographs of the reconstruction were distributed, but police have received no leads. It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it. ~ Aristotle

6 1/2 is very small for a man's ring. Are they sure he was wearing it?

Wow, there were 18 different 21-35 YOA white males that went missing in Florida between 1980 and the discovery of this UID.
Also, 24 UIDs with that description during that period.
