Clinton and Lewinsky names for new Chinese condoms

Production of “Clinton” and “Lewinsky” contraceptives has already started. Company’s representative Li Wenhua said that this was the first case of famous names registered as trademarks in China. According to Wenhua, the company does not pay for this as these are “just ordinary Western names” and their usage does not violate intellectual property.

“Clinton” condoms are produced for consumers with income higher than average and cost 29,8 yuan ($3,7) for a 10-pack. “Lewinsky” condoms are aimed at mass consumer. They are sold for 18,8 yuan ($2,3) for a pack.

Each pack contains package insert with erotic image on one side and an “X-rated” joke on the other side.
