Marius du Toit, a defence lawyer and former prosecutor, said that if the SCA rules that OP is guilty of murder, it could say the matter must be referred back to the high court for sentencing.

"It would be referred back to Masipa if she is available, and if not, another judge would familiarise themselves with the case.

He is not out on bail, presently he is under correctional supervision” but the SCA "could give a directive that he be incarcerated pending the outcome of the sentencing proceedings. For murder, you don't get correctional supervision."

He said that if it comes to a point where Masipa has to sentence Pistorius for murder, it's possible that his lawyers could eventually approach the Constitutional Court.

"I don't think we have seen the end of this case," Du Toit said.

Anneliese Burgess, the Pistorius family's spokeswoman, said the media need not camp outside Uncle Arnold’s home where OP has been living since being released under correctional supervision.
“To save all of you the trouble of camping out at the Pistorius home tomorrow, I thought it best to let you know in advance that there will not be an on-camera statement made tomorrow,” she said.

    Here, woot.
Hope I can stay for all the reading, exciting. Trivia: pleased that the Supreme Court has better styling, size, and a good amount of architectural pomp. That Guateng High Court was a bit of a dive

Someone probably posted this writing but I only just read this academic, post-colonial, fem/gender studies take on Pistorius, gender, race and class. Quite interesting.

Why wouldn't Nel or Roux attend today? Seems they have invested so much in this trial, not to be there on this day.

    Good morning y'all.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.
