William Scott Fannin was last seen in the Milo community wearing jeans and a blue long sleeve shirt under a green t-shirt. Fannin has brown hair and a beard, but family members say he's usually wearing a hat - probably the one pictured.

He stands at 6 feet, weighing about 160 pounds.

The Martin County Sheriff says this is very out of character for Fannin and that fowl play has not been ruled out.

If anyone has information on Fannin's whereabouts, they are encouraged to call the Martin County Sheriff's Department at 606-298-3211.

Family increases reward for missing Martin County man

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

"When from a long distant past nothing persists, after the people are dead, after things are broken and scattered, still alone, more persistent, more faithful, the smell and taste of things remain poised a long, long time like souls, ready to remind us, waiting, hoping for their moment amid the ruins of all the rest, and bear unfaltering in the tiny and almost impalpable drop of their essence the vast structure of recollection."

Search continues for missing Martin County man

(Martin County Sheriff) Kirk explained that although the cadaver dogs indicated that a body was in the lake, it is likely that it isn’t Fannin. “We don’t believe the body is in the lake,” Kirk said. “The dogs indicated a body in the lake but it could have been from years ago,” Kirk continued.

The search for Fannin will not end until he is located. Kirk explained, “The search is never ending. We were out until 2 a.m. this morning searching.”

There are so many searches where somebody is later found, basically just right there. I can't understand that, but I've never been out on such a search. Hopefully, they'll have the autopsy or whatever done soon so that they'll know what happened to him.

Another thing I found curious was that they found seven cars in that lake. That itty-bitty lake that's out in the sticks. I don't know when the lake was dammed/built, but it was sometime b/w the 1960's and 1980's.
I wonder if any of them were from actual car accidents or whether they were put there by someone. Either the "cover up some kind of crime" kind put them there, or just someone wanting to get rid of an old car.
