    GA - Toni Rayburn, 44, Thomasville, 27 Nov 2015

    Toni Rayburn

Leads pursued in missing woman case

"A phone call resulting from a Tuesday Times-Enterprise story generated an encouraging lead in the case of a woman missing since late November.

However, the phone call did not lead investigators to Toni Rayburn, 44, who was last seen at a Spruce Lane residence on Nov. 27.

The caller gave Thomas County Sheriff’s Office investigators the name of a man with whom the missing woman allegedly had been seen.

Lt. Tim Watkins, sheriff’s office chief investigator, said two men in Thomas County have the same name given by the caller. Both were interviewed."

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

"When from a long distant past nothing persists, after the people are dead, after things are broken and scattered, still alone, more persistent, more faithful, the smell and taste of things remain poised a long, long time like souls, ready to remind us, waiting, hoping for their moment amid the ruins of all the rest, and bear unfaltering in the tiny and almost impalpable drop of their essence the vast structure of recollection."

Hmm. From the article it sounds like she was unsatisfied with members inside the Spruce Lane residence and stormed off. Hopefully she will surface safe. Marking my spot.

"The decomposed remains were found within one-quarter of a mile of the Spruce Lane residence where the woman, 44-year-old Toni Rayburn, was last seen more than two months ago." Waiting on autopsy to confirm identity and cause of death.

I take it there's been no word on the identity of the body they found. Anyone have an update?

Last one i find on this

says the tests involve obtaining DNA from Toni Rayburn's family members in an attempt to compare DNA with the body. Rayburn was last seen on November 26.
