According to court records, Jeanette Hughes was sentenced this past September. She pleaded guilty to Voluntary Manslaughter - Unreasonable Belief (Heat of Passion). She was sentenced to serve between 3 years & 6 months to 7 years in prison, plus 3 years probation.

Probation Supervision be specially supervised by the Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole. The Court Notes that the above Sentence is a Split Sentence. Attend Pike County Catholic Social Services for an Evaluation and that she complete any recommended treatment at her own expense until successfully discharged. Refrain from the possession and/or consumption of alcohol and that she not enter any establishment
where alcohol is served while under supervision. Attend Pike County Mental Health and Developmental Services for an Evaluation and comply with any
recommended treatment at her own expense until successfully discharged. The Court notes that the District Attorney's Office is not representing an amount of Restitution at this time. Not eligible for RRRI Minimum Sentence due to her current conviction on the charge of Voluntary Manslaughter. This is not a case in which the District Attorney's Office has waived the Defendant's statutory eligibility requirements. Submit to a DNA Draw pursuant to PA Law prior to her release from incarceration.
