It would be nice to have a name..
The New South Wales girl, who is visiting Brisbane with family, was last seen in Franklin Street, Highgate Hill around 1.30pm today.
She has no friends, family in the area. She might visit the West End, South Bank or Brisbane CBD areas. She was last seen wearing a blue and white singlet top, jeans with the cuffs rolled up, orange socks, black sneakers. She was carrying a yellow/orange canvas beach bag.

Wondering if she met someone on the Internet and met them. Hopefully they look at any electronic devices or computers at home or school.

School is out here in Australia - not sure about NSW but here in Queensland we are into our 4th week of holidays, with a couple more to go before the new school year starts. Doesn't mean that something online couldn't have been organised earlier with the trip to Brisbane in mind though.

When press releases are worded like this - She might visit the West End, South Bank or Brisbane CBD areas. it really kind of gives the impression that the missing person is absent by choice. Unfortunately a lot of kids seem to do this lately and I'm guessing some of the public might just assume that it's another pesky teen who doesn't want to be found. I hope she turns up safely soon - she's been missing since Sunday which is a long time for a 13yo to be missing.

Is it normal for them to withhold the name?

Yes great news - I've been wondering why I hadn't heard any more about her whereabouts. Still scary stuff when kids take off and family and police are searching for them.
