About four months after she went missing, the family of Sarah Gaitan is still holding onto hope that someone has a clue to her whereabouts.

Her aunt says these last few months have felt like a nightmare, and on Sunday they joined with hundreds of others to seek help.

"It's been so long that we haven't heard anything," said Jo Ann Zepeta, Sarah's aunt. "It's an emotional rollercoaster. It's very difficult."

"It breaks my heart not knowing what happened to her," said Jennifer, Sarah's mother.

"We're going to pray today that wherever Sarah is at, we're going to pray that god will cover her," said the pastor of the service.



Directors at the Heidi Search Center believe she may be the victim of human trafficking.

The Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office has identified skeletal remains found in the county in March as 24-year-old Sarah Gaitan, a San Antonio mother of four.

Gaitan was reported missing in the area of Austin Highway on or about October 4, before her body was discovered March 2 by a local farmer in a field near South Santa Clara and Gerdes Road in Guadalupe County.

Authorities said Willie Ray Wanzo was formally charged Thursday for tampering/fabricating physical evidence with intent to impair human corpse and tamper/fabricate physical evidence with intent to impair.
