Jacqueline Pickett, assault victim up and walking
Jacqueline Pickett, the victim of the Beckman Park assault on Monday has been up and walking around on Friday for a short period of time, according to Maria Gomes, Pickett’s stepmother. She has also been eating light meals. The activity quickly wore her out, Gomes said, and she spent the remainder of the day sleeping.
Pickett is strong and determined person, Gomes said, and has the daily mantra: “I am strong. I am healthy. I am alive. I am loved.”
