Millville man missing under suspicious circumstances

Shasta County, California -
"The Shasta County Sheriff's Office is asking for help locating a missing man they say disappeared under suspicious circumstances.

On Christmas Eve, at about 12:00 p.m., Rick Lynn Turner, 51, drove away from his home in Millville in his black 2006 Dodge Charger for unknown reasons.

Turner is described as 5-feet-11-inches tall, 220 pounds, hazel eyes, grey hair with a goatee. He has a rainbow trout tattoo on his calf and a tiger on his right shoulder.

On Dec. 28, Turner’s family reported him as missing to the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office because he didn't attend any family functions over the Christmas weekend.

On Jan. 3, Turner’s Dodge Charger was stopped by the Red Bluff Police Department on an enforcement stop in Red Bluff. The Charger had two subjects inside, neither of which were Turner, deputies said. The driver reported he purchased the vehicle from Turner and did not know of his whereabouts. The occupants were arrested for unrelated charges and the Charger was towed and stored, deputies explained.

Detectives with the Major Crimes Unit took over the investigation and followed up regarding the new circumstances. Detectives got the Charger and searched it for evidence which revealed suspicious blood stains inside the passenger compartment.

Detectives then did follow up interviews with the two occupants arrested on Jan. 3 and learned that the Charger was originally found in Redding on the side of the road near the north end of Shasta View near College View Drive. The two subjects are not suspected of any wrongdoing in connection to Turner’s disappearance at this time."

UPDATE: Millville man found dead same day he went missing
A Millville man who was last seen December 24 was confirmed dead Friday. Officials say Rick Turner, 51, died of natural causes.
Turner was reported missing by his family on Dec. 28. His car was found in Red Bluff Jan. 3 being driving by two people who claimed they bought it.
We learned the vehicle was associated with a missing person," said Sergeant Scott Curtis of the Red Bluff Police Department. "We notified the Shasta County Sheriff's Office."

The two people were arrested, and officers discovered blood stains in the car. The two people then said they found it abandoned on the north end of Shasta View Drive.

High? Natural causes...but...his car was abandoned and bloodstained? And driven by other people?
Why can I not connect these dots?

Sounds suspicious, but maybe Rick left his vehicle, died of say, a heart attack, and the two men found the abandoned car and took advantage of it. About the bloodstain, idk. Maybe it was an older stain.

All just a guess on my part as you're right, the dots do seem a bit disconnected in the stories.

Oh geez, that was supposed to say Huh? not High?
It must've autocorrected and I can't edit it now. Oops.
