After Jackie Grider, 69, walked away from her cabin in Heyburn State Park, the search for her involved several volunteers, dogs, and even a helicopter a tone point. Despite all of that, her whereabouts remain a mystery.

Witnesses said she was out on a walk by herself, and over seven months later, that is still the last time she has been seen.

Grider was from Bakersfield, California and had a cabin in Heyburn State Park where she would spend summers with her husband.

A California woman in the early stages of dementia who went missing Monday in Heyburn State Park had not been found.
Jacquelyn D. Grinder, 69, who is also deaf and walks with a limp, was last seen around 9:30 a.m. or 10:30 a.m. Monday. She was walking north along Chatcolet Road, the Benewah County Sheriff's Office said. She was wearing a white T-shirt and white hat and dark shorts. She is 5-feet, 11-inches tall and weighs 170 pounds.

Beautiful area of Idaho. Spent some summers up there many years ago just outside of Plummer. June 1st of last year is stuck in my mind. Most of the area had a huge storm. Our biggest thunderstorm of the whole summer. After it passed, we had a massive heatwave. Very strange for this time of year. Junes are usually cooler and milder. I hope someday we know what happened to Jackie!

Still nothing? This is a very local story to me (birth till high school graduation, right outside of town)and this isnt a very secluded area in my opinion.. As far as a local ive heard nothing at all besides the very few first news articles. Sad.

Search finds no clues for Calif. woman in N. Idaho
Jackie Grider, from Bakersfield, California, went missing in June 2015 after she was visiting her North Idaho cabin with her family. She went on her daily walk around Chatcolet Lake but never came back.

"There's a big void, a big void without her and of course my dad not knowing where his wife's been for a year, I mean he's just a shell, basically, right now," Grider’s son, Buzz said in a phone interview on Sunday.
