GUILTY NY - Dr. Robin Goldman, 58, brutally murdered, Scarsdale, 20 Jan 2016

A high-powered tax attorney is suspected of stabbing his doctor wife to death in their Westchester County, New York, mansion Wednesday morning.

Jules Reich, 61, is in police custody in the death of Dr. Robin Goldman, the Journal News reports.

Reich is a partner at WeiserMazars LLP, a top New York City accounting firm. He has not yet been charged. Goldman, 58, worked as a pediatrician in the Bronx.

“Respond to 50 Lincoln Rd. The report is that a female has been hurt seriously, and no further information was given by the calling party,” a dispatcher told officers when the crime was reported. “Arrive on scene and wait outside until patrol units enter.”

Sources told CBS2 Goldman was found stabbed to death in a bathroom shower and Reich called 911, CBS2’s Andrea Grymes reported.

“This is not a random act,” said Scarsdale Police Capt. Thomas Altizio.

The first homicide in this town in nearly 40 years has left neighbors absolutely stunned.

Court records show that after their daughter's wedding last summer, Reich filed for a divorce from Goldman, according to CBS New York.

The details of the August divorce petition are still pending, Heavy reported.

Reich was taken into custody and booked into the Westchester County Jail following his arraignment. Sources told theNew York Post that the man had 'defensive wounds' on his arms.

A forensics team was seen at the home well into the evening on Wednesday.

Court documents show that within hours of the murder, Reich allegedly told police he was grieving, but also appeared to be in a joking mood.

The documents further show that while at police headquarters, Reich asked an officer, "What do you think of Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton?"

The documents also say he apparently attempted to joke with another officer, saying, "You're not my boyfriend, you know."
