"A human skeleton was found Sunday afternoon in a pine-tree forest just off Millhopper Road.

At about 4:45 p.m. Sunday, deputies with the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office received a call from the man who found the full skeleton, at which point they began an investigation, said Art Forgey, spokesman for the office."

"The skeleton’s age, sex and cause of death remain unknown, Forgey said.

Several pieces of evidence were found at the scene, but that evidence was not disclosed. On Monday, deputies scanned through missing-person files in search of potential leads, Forgey said.

“They will also then expand that toward the state, around the nation, until we get some type of ID,” he said.

Deputies are working with the District 8 Medical Examiner’s Office and UF’s C.A. Pound Human Identification Laboratory, according to the release."

This is the Marmaduke Pond subdivision.

8 people listed as missing on namus from Gainesville. Including Tiffany Sessions.

My first thought was Heather Elvis.

Didn't Tammy and hubby take a sudden trip to Florida after her disappearance?

I always think of Tiffany Sessions whenever anyone is found here. Will be good to know age, sex and length of exposure.

Has anyone found out any more on these skeletal remains found?

Just checked 'The Gainesville Sun' (Gainesville paper) http://www.gainesville.com/ and nothing new. Will check TV20 site http://www.wcjb.com/ (local television station) and post if anything new. UF has a great forensic and anthropology dept. I'm guessing they'll be used to help develop info. I do already subscribe to The Gainesville Sun so I can check often.

Thank You.

Are you referring to the trip they took to look at property and did they have the kids with them?

I would think the person would have intimate knowledge of the subdivision also.

It's the same town but not particularly close. But there was an entry on murderpedia that says a girl might have seen Tiffany being chased by a man, and the place where that happened looks fairly close to where they found this body.

Tiffany Sessions reportedly lived at Casablanca East Apartments on Southwest 35th Place, Gainesville and the unidentified remains were discovered near 5700 NW 84th Terrace, Gainesville, FL. Looks like 9.8 miles apart and we know that Tiffany had been out walking so I don't know at what point she disappeared from. And if Rowles (the suspect in Tiffany's disappearance) delivered scaffolding to construction sites, it's possible that there may have been homes going up in the Marmaduke Pond area at the time. (The house listing I posted above was built in 1985 and Tiffany disappeared in 1989. I don't think her Rolex watch has ever been found.

According to this article, Tiffany disappeared "about a mile from where (Elizabeth) Foster's body was found". Rowles was convicted of killing Foster (DNA found).
"“He had the means and the motive — he was a convicted sex offender — and he was in the area at the right time,” Sessions said. “He drove deliveries right next to the place where she walked every day. He also delivered pizzas and could have met her that way. And I don’t know how you explain the stuff in the address book any other way."

Checked local paper and news this am, and no new info. According to the initial articles, evidence was found. I can't imagine much would be found besides jewelry after 26 years if this is Tiffany. My hopes are up because I hope the family can someday have closure. But hopefully some family will have closure when this person is ID'd.
