Bosma Murder Trial 02.01.16 - Day 1, Opening Statements

This is the Bosma murder trial discussion thread.

Please post your comments here, and at all times, keep in mind Websleuths TOS, so affectionately referred to as The Rules.

There will be ZERO TOLERANCE for snarky or disrespectful posts and/or subtle digs at other members. Mods will not be pm'ing you, you will find your post has disappeared, or that you can no longer post.

There is to be NO name calling or name variations, not even of the accused.

There is to be no BICKERING between members. A difference of opinion is NOT a TOS violation. Some will think one or both of the accused are guilty, some will think one or both are not guilty, and some will be on the fence. All of that is okay and should NOT BE ATTACKED. If you disagree, that's fine, move past the post. If a post is offensive, alert it and let the Mods review it. If you respond to the post, both the offensive post AND yours will be removed and may result in other consequences.

Any testimony that might remain under Publication Ban, and any courtroom discussion that takes place when the jury is not present, is strictly off-limits.

The principle of “innocent until proven guilty” is for the court room … it is not required that Websleuths members adhere to that principle. Members are allowed to discuss, speculate, theorize, and judge according to opinions they develop from following the specifics of the case.

Well today is the Day finally to start the trial...some of us have waited a long time....I have Twitter ready to go and will copy and paste in here as soon as it starts....I am sure many of the members realize that court proceeds do not always start on time especially with the first witness. Does anyone know if they will have the trial set up in chapters like they did for Tori's trial ?....sorry if has been mentioned in a thread earlier...However when I read the thread here about this trial ....I did not see any mention of it. If my memory is correct it was mentioned in the Tori trial BEFORE the trial...even began . I guess we may find out real soon...Trial is suppose to begin in 20 mins...10;00am..Breath deep as IMO this shall not be easy to watch. I did read Sharlene Bosma ....(Tim Bosma ) wife is suppose to be one of the FIRST witnesses for the Crown.I am sure the crown will begin with an overview of when Tim went missing May 2013 when he had his Ram Truck up for sale on Kijiji..thanks robynhood...:thinking:

Good morning everyone. Hopefully we are all gathered here together to bear witness to long awaited justice for Tim Bosma and the Bosma family. For those so inclined, according to the family spokesperson, the family is gathering each morning at 10am for a daily prayer and have invited the public to join in.
