This is the Bosma murder trial discussion thread.

Please post your comments here, and at all times, keep in mind Websleuths TOS, so affectionately referred to as The Rules.

There will be ZERO TOLERANCE for snarky or disrespectful posts and/or subtle digs at other members. Mods will not be pm'ing you, you will find your post has disappeared, or that you can no longer post.

There is to be NO name calling or name variations, not even of the accused.

There is to be no BICKERING between members. A difference of opinion is NOT a TOS violation. Some will think one or both of the accused are guilty, some will think one or both are not guilty, and some will be on the fence. All of that is okay and should NOT BE ATTACKED. If you disagree, that's fine, move past the post. If a post is offensive, alert it and let the Mods review it. If you respond to the post, both the offensive post AND yours will be removed and may result in other consequences.

If you have any questions, PM a Mod and we will be happy to assist you. The main Mods/Admin for this trial will be Bessie, Coldpizza, and sillybilly.

Tim Bosma trial Day 3: Hamilton police officer to testify
CBC News Posted: Feb 03, 2016 7:08 AM

Tim Bosma's wife, Sharlene Bosma, was among those in the packed courtroom in Hamilton on Tuesday. The two men accused of murder in Tim Bosma's death are Dellen Millard and Mark Smich, show here in the foreground. (Sketch by Pam Davies)

The third day of the trial of the two men accused of murder in the death of Tim Bosma of Hamilton will include testimony from one of the lead officers in charge of the investigation.

Det.-Sgt. Greg Jackson from Hamilton police was the case manager on the original investigation. Bosma disappeared on May 6, 2013.

Day 3 of the murder trial in the death of TimBosma begins around 10am

What a sketch! I realize the artist intentionally narrowed the focus, but imagine how difficult it is for Sharlene to be in such close proximity to the two accused of murdering Tim. Rather ironic, too, that the "second man" whose eyes were averted during the encounter on May 6, 2013, in this image stares straight forward, while the confident "cell phone guy" sits with his head turned downward.

It that sketch is supposed to be SB she looks like the actress Dakota Johnson.

There are no claims that the sketch is of SB. It only references the accused being in the sketch.

This is the first day the courtroom isn't totally full. Still lots of people here though.

There are no claims that the sketch is of SB. It only references the accused being in the sketch.

I would also doubt that she would be seating behind the defendants when she could be sitting on the side of the crown. But I understand the artistic merits of the sketch.

DM has that smirk even in a sketch!

I can't talk about what is happening until the jury is in the room.

It just says that the accused are in the sketch, I can't see where it says the woman is SB. Maybe I am missing it.

It seems that DM is looking at his notes ( absolutely no smirk/smile imo ) and MS is doing staring ahead. Just my take on the sketch. But maybe it is SB... I just don't see where it says that.
