A beloved teacher and her 2-year-old daughter died Tuesday after they were found shot outside their home in Fort Washington, Maryland, officials say.
NeShante Davis, 26, and her daughter, Chloe Davis-Green, were found about 7 a.m. in the parking lot of their townhouse on the 1300 block of Palmer Road, Prince George's County police said.

A witness said he heard yelling and then multiple gunshots. Davis' body was found right away, next to her car, police said. The injured toddler then was spotted through the tinted windows of her mother's blue Chevrolet. The toddler was rushed to a hospital, where she died.
A friend of Davis' for more than a decade, Melonie Parker, said at an emotional service Tuesday night that she was heartbroken.
[...]
Davis was a second-grade teacher at Bradbury Heights Elementary School in Capitol Heights, according to the Prince George’s County Educators’ Association. She worked for years as a teacher's aide at the school and was in the middle of her first year teaching after recently graduating from Bowie State University.
Davis likely was headed to drop Chloe off at day care and then head to work when they were shot, school officials said.

FORT WASHINGTON, Md. (ABC7) — Tuesday night family and friends gathered at a Cheverly church to remember a 26-year old woman and her two-year-old daughter, who were both murdered earlier in the day.

It happened a little before 7 a.m. The little girl was in her car seat when she was shot.

The father of a 2-year-old girl has been charged with fatally shooting her and her mother, a beloved elementary school teacher in Maryland, police said.

Daron Boswell-Johnson was charged Wednesday morning in the deaths of*NeShante Davis, 26, and their daughter, Chloe Davis-Green.

Back in December, Boswell-Johnson was established to be Chloe's father during a paternity suit and a DNA test. He was then ordered to pay $600 a month in child support.

Boswell-Johnson has admitted his involvement in the double homicide, said Prince George's County Interim Police Chief Hank Stawinski.
*********

I shudder to think the motivating factor for these homicides could be the recent order for support.

When I first read the story, I figured killer was probably the sperm donor who had gotten tired of making support payments. Pure evil. RIP NeShante and Chloe.

To say he is cold-hearted is truly an understatement!

Trial begins in shooting death of Prince George’s teacher, 2-year-old daughter

Daron Boswell-Johnson was 25 when he allegedly shot and killed NeShante Davis and their daughter, Chloe Davis-Green, in February 2016, said prosecutors, who added in a statement that Boswell-Johnson has admitted to the killings.

Boswell-Johnson is charged with two counts of first-degree murder and two counts of use of a firearm in a crime of violence. Prince George’s County State’s Attorney will prosecute the case herself — the second time she’s done so, her office said in the statement.

The man convicted of killing his 2-year-old daughter and her mother in Prince George’s County over child support received two consecutive life sentences without the chance of parole. He was also sentenced to 20 years on the weapons charges.

Boswell-Johnson’s only words during the sentencing hearing were to say he didn’t want to speak. His lawyer moved for a new trial, told the judge he was falsely convicted and plans to appeal.
