Deputies search for missing Modesto man last seen at casino

Modesto, California -
Deputies are asking for the community's help in finding a missing man who disappeared from a Jamestown casino, the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office said.

Allen Christopher Martin, 35, of Modesto was last seen about 10:30 p.m. on Feb. 9 at Chicken Ranch Casino, the sheriff’s office said. He was walking through the casino's parking lot toward Chicken Ranch Road.

The sheriff’s office said Martin has not made contact with his family since that evening and his whereabouts are still unknown.

It's been really warm here in the bay, but we went to the snow a few weeks ago above there. Windy roads. Had he been drinking?

Martin’s grandmother, Jackie, described him as a “very caring person.”

He went to the casino with his friends that evening, she said.

“He’s super good to me. I can call him if I need him to do something to my computer, or my fence needs to be fixed, or I need a tree chopped down — he will do it for me,” Jackie said.

Martin is a licensed vocational nurse at Hy-Lond Health Care Center in Modesto, Jackie said.

Linda Hatter, Martin's mother, explained that the sheriff's office has exhausted all leads and has hopes that someone in the community will come forward with information.

"He's an active father, he has two children," Hatter explained. "He's been going to soccer games and he participates in his children's lives."

Martin was employed as a nurse at a convalescent hospital. He's been known to hike and rock climb, and he was training for a marathon.

Oh that doesn't sound good. Makes my heart hurt. Hope he's just off taking time for himself, but it doesn't seem like he'd do that to his kids.

It looks like he is looking at his phone while is is walking, and carrying something like a cup in the other hand.

Who did he go to the casino with? Where was the car parked?

It is still very cold at night in the mountains there, so I hope he is just laying low somewhere while his heart heals.
 
And still nothing.. I've been here before it is a very tiny casino in the middle of nowhere .. I don't understand how his gf could just leave... I would've caused a scene if I couldn't find my Bf!! And I would definitely not have left til I talked to the cops!!!

Almost a year and still nothing. This is so bizarre. Where this casino is, it's hard to explain, I've only been there 2 times but when I went we didn't go to the way the directions told me, I never even knew you could get there the way the directions had said! There's a backroad(which I thought was the only way to get there) that everyone else takes a

First time I heard about this case. That text definitely makes me think of a suicide... but who knows what really happened. Hope there'll be answers soon.
 
I just saw this thread and realized it's been a year since he went missing. I wonder if he won a lot of money and was robbed out of camera range. So sad that he's just gone...
