I remember when this happened, but then nothing. Her house was broken into, then 10 days later the same guy murdered her. Not the boyfriend this time.

"Kylas slaying remains unsolved despite a door-to-door DNA dragnet of 60 neighborhood men and another 60 men with whom she was acquainted. Police hope tips from the public will help solve the case that seemingly has hit a dead end.
The lead detective on the case, Ron Chalmers, said the suspects DNA profile has been entered into the FBIs Combined DNA Index System. Every week, the DNA profile is automatically compared with DNA profiles across the nation in hopes to link crimes. So far, there have been no matches, he said."
