MISSING: Have you seen this woman? She has been missing from Byron Bay since February 15

Byron Bay, New South Wales, Australia -
A CANADIAN woman staying in Byron Bay has not been seen or heard from for more than a week sparking concerns about her safety.

Natalie Perkins, 36, was last seen leaving an appointment in the Northern NSW beachside town just after 4pm on Monday February 15.

The Canadian National is described as being of caucasian appearance, about 170-175cm tall, with a medium build, with long blonde hair and blue eyes.

Massive reward of $1m offered in case of missing Byron Bay woman Natalie Perkins

A WHOPPING $1 million reward has been offered on social media for information leading to the whereabouts of a Canadian woman missing from her Byron Bay home.

Natalie Perkins, 35, was only reported missing three days after she disappeared and has not been seen or heard from for almost two weeks.

Her distraught family and friends in Canada have taken to Facebook, with a relative posting that a reward of $1 million could be up for grabs.

Uncle, Terry G Sample posted, “Please help us find our niece. Natalie is the youngest daughter of my sister, she has lived in Australia for three years. Let your friends and family know, a reward of $1,000,000.00 has been offered by a friend for information leading to Nat’s whereabouts.”

Natalie is believed to have left the Byron Bay home she shared with her boyfriend on Monday February 15, headed for a doctor’s appointment.

She never made the appointment and her bank accounts have not been accessed since.

The dog groomer, who had called Byron Bay home for the past three years, was officially reported missing by a friend on February 18 and media were alerted on February 23.

Police have released the last sighting of Natalie - the CCTV image of her leaving her doctor's appointment. There was a bit more publicity on TV news and in MSM about her today.

They also believe she is still in the country. Not sure how they have determined that. Did she have her passport with her, and it has not been used?

Friends fear for a Canadian woman missing for two weeks after she was last seen leaving a doctor's appointment in the NSW tourist town of Byron Bay.

Hmmm I thought they said she never made her appointment. So did she or not?
Is it possible she's having an "episode" and she became disoriented while going to the appt and left before going in.
After a week, I do have to wonder where she is. Maybe a homeless shelter?

On the official FB page on 24th Feb it says ..... "There have been no updates since yesterday when we learned that Natalie did attend her doctor's appointment, putting her last known whereabouts at her doctors. She hasn't been seen since leaving after her appointment."

What puzzles me is why it took 3 days to report her missing. She was apparently living with her boyfriend, so it surprises me that it took that long. Unless he works away and is only home at weekends or something. Natalie went missing on a Monday afternoon, was reported missing on the Thursday.

Unless he thought you needed to wait 72 hours before reporting.

LAST weekend's harrowing stabbing in Butler St Reserve in Byron Bay has left some residents wondering what it will take for authorities to clean up the illegal camps dotted around bushland near the town.
Bob's most recent visit to Byron Police station was last Thursday, three days before the stabbing.
"I went to ask for help because I was concerned for my safety, so many of the people who pass by to and from the camp site are drug-affected or seem to have mental illnesses," she said.
Council's acting sustainable development manager, Chris Larkin, said staff were in discussion with the police about the homeless and itinerant camp on the Butler St Reserve, and elsewhere.

‘For years, the Byron Bay reserves in Butler Street have been known in prison as “safe places” to hide once on parole. The few local residents left in Butler street know it as the “shooting gallery” owing to the thousands of discarded syringes left in the scrub.’

I’ve always wondered what happened to Natalie, knowing how suss the area she was found is.
I hadn’t walked through there in years until recently, it’s still gross, fit packs and needles, nangs, tents, tobacco pouches, bottles, food rubbish etc. I just have a hard time thinking you’d go there for your last moments by choice.
And really, if you were in a bad way and wanted to leave earth, it’s my opinion you wouldn’t bother going to an appointment or doing other chores first.
