It was originally reported that Medina-Brown fell down the chute, but homicide detectives were called to the scene when the circumstances of her death were deemed suspicious.

I wonder who reported she fell down the laundry chute? That would seem like the logical place to start.

Poor girl, makes me sad for her friends but makes me wonder why no mention of her husband's feelings. Hmmm

How in the WORLD does someone expect to believe that someone accidentally fell down a laundry chute in a hotel? Think back to the last time you were in hotel. Did you see or have access to any type of chute you could have fallen into? No! They are located in the housekeeping closets and behind locked doors.

if a housekeeper found Kali in the laundry chute and called police - I can see that person saying to the cops that she fell down the chute. it's possible English is not the reporting person's first language also.

what the heck? She walked into the laundry closet and fell down the chute?

The death of a California woman whose curled up corpse was found last month in a Las Vegas hotel-casino laundry chute has been ruled accidental.

The Clark County Coroner’s office said 26-year-old Kalli Medina-Brown of Citrus Heights died of blunt force injuries in an accident after plunging 15 flights below on February 20 at D Las Vegas.

The report also revealed that she spent 15 minutes alone in the small room adjacent to the chute prior to her death.

The coroner's office cannot rule the death a suicide unless police learn of a history of depression or suicide attempts, according to Coroner John Fudenberg .
'There’s no reason for us to believe that she intended to commit suicide,' he said.

Her family is requesting the autopsy and toxicology results not be released.
