Grande Prairie RCMP seek missing Clairmont woman

Clairmont, Alberta, Canada -
A 47-year-old woman has been reported missing to the Grande Prairie RCMP.

Karen Marie Jordan was reported missing on February 10 — according to RCMP, a family member has not heard from her in five years. Jordan was last known to be living in the Clairmont area.

Police say Jordan is known for having a high-risk lifestyle, and her family is concerned for her well-being.

She is described as a Caucasian woman, standing about 5’1″ and weighing about 120 lbs. She has green eyes, and was last seen with blonde shoulder length hair.

Wow 5 years she has not been heard from. How very sad.

:bump:

Did she live alone? Was she planning on leaving? Where is her stuff / her belongings / her things?

Clairmont is easily less than 3000 people, probably a lot less now than 5 years ago. It's also less than 10 kms north of Grand Prairie. Clairmont is mostly industrial --- there is a Ramada / Husky Truck Stop...

Maybe she hitched a ride "out of dodge"...

Where is Karen???

:candle:

How very sad that no one noticed that she was missing for 5 years.

Someone must have noticed. She must have had friends? Worked somewhere and didn't come anymore? Stopped paying rent? Etc. Unless she quit her job and apartment and left on her own decision. LE should try track down friends, acquaintances, neighbors, colleagues of her.

Karen Jordan's husband charged almost eight years after her disappearance

FORT MCMURRAY (660 News) — On March 19, 2021 57-year-old Paul Tamasi of Prince George British Columbia was arrested in connection with the death of his wife, Karen Marie Jordan.

During their investigations police determined that Jordan was last seen in November of 2013, yet wasn’t reported missing until February of 2016. At the time she was reported missing, her family said they had not seen Jordan since 2011.

In September of 2020, The Alberta RCMP Special Tactical Operations Teams were aided by local search crews in a ground search near Wembley, about 24 kilometres West of Grande Prairie. The search culminated in the recovery of Jordan’s remains, information that was not made available to the public at the time.

The case had been cold for years, but in September 2020, the RCMP were able to search an area near Wembley, Alta., some 24 kilometres west of Grande Prairie, and find some of Jordan’s remains. Her widow was charged with her murder.

“In conducting our investigation, we were able to get a confession from him and recovered her remains, a very small part of her unfortunately, and … we charged [her husband] with murder here in the spring of 2021,” Zazulak said.
