OCALA, Fla. —
Human remains were found buried in the Ocala National Forest, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office deputies said.

Detectives received a tip Thursday that a body was possibly buried in the Ocala National Forest near Forest Road 50.

On Friday, Major Crimes detectives and evidence technicians, along with the Ocala Police Department and the Medical Examiner’s Office, responded to the area and discovered a body in a grave.

An autopsy will be performed by the Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the identity and gender the body.

The investigation is ongoing.

I know it's not likely, but another possibility is "Dee Dee" Scofield.

And in Marion County... Deputies say they found human remains near Silver Springs Shores. It's the second set of human remains found in the ocala area in just two weeks. "Walking through the Greenway Property in the area of Silver Springs Shores he came across some remains, some human bones and reported them," says Lt. Ryan Robbins. "Marion county sheriff's did search the area and found the bones that your speaking of and that point detained and secured the area."

Jeffrey Keith is from Silver Springs Shores.
