4 dead on scene, Another fatality in route to hosital.

Around 40 shell cases..

Mutlple LE outfits on scene.

One house seems to be a "focus"

A party happening. In backyard

Four men seen running away on foot

Sounds as if some children may have lost their parents todnight

Two shooters

1058 911 calls started
Le enforcement describes an ambush type attack

People started running back into house to avoid being shot.

8 ppl shot, ambush-style shooting at a backyard barbecue. Shots from 2 directions (2 shooters). 4 dead at the scene. 4 transported to hospital, 1 died and the others reportedly in conditions ranging from critical to stable.

Ppl ran to the backdoor of the house, trying to get in for shelter.

No suspects yet apprehended.

Developing...details not yet available.

How horrible!

Families are showing up trying to find out if their loved ones are hit

8 now being reported shot

The sense is this was planned - in that two gunman started shooting at the same time

Some of the deceased were killed trying to run backk into the house

at least 26 shots

the 4 people running , they think maybe a coule of them were running not perps

Oh my! So tragic. More families have lost loved ones tonight. I wonder if this was some type of gang activity? Or maybe an angry boyfriend/girlfriend?

a mom heard yelling that is my child

entire area sealed folks living there cant get home

Police now asking for public if they saw anything

they feel more targeted than random

LE does not think anyone at the party was a shooter

shots out of nowhere

sounds like the second gunman started firing at the people that were trying to flee running in the house to get away from the shots

no ages or condition of those in hostital

This is just me not being reported: wonder if gang / drugs stuff /or domestic ??

All 4 deaths at scene were on the back porch

The possibility of a gang-related crime occurred to me as well.

4 females dead, 1 male.

When I started watching the Live feed some 30(?) mins ago, a woman was having an emotional fit and was being controlled/calmed, apparently by relatives. The thought was that her child was one of the victims.

There was a presser and the Live feed is replaying portions of it.

4 of those killed were on the back porch, trying to get into the house.

I can't imagine the panic they must have felt. Very very sad.

Some confustion : one car may have been taking two of the perps away, while it sounds like two fleeing from scene on foot.

Normally quiet street

LE says they have not been to that address before

They are now saying "at least" two shooters

No return fire thought to have occurred

Two seperate guns

not a shootout an ambush

The more thats coming out it sounds like it was a real horrible experiance for the folks in the backyard .

Sounds like shots started, then stopped , then started again from the second shooter

Those in the area "knew" it was gunshots

Although the situation is quiet and has been since soon after it occurred, there are allegedly at least two shooters still at-large.

LE is soliciting the public for information.

I hope when I re-visit this thread in the morning, the two have been apprehended without further incident or harm.

that is my plan too - I took a Lunesta a minute ago so I do not have much longer but am going to keep live feed on also - its really just visually quite scary with a super "violent" feeling to it

Story starting to blow up on Twitter slowly.....

ME on-scene and expected to be transporting the bodies soon, identification and notification to families to follow.

Apparently Pittsburgh and surrounding areas have seen violent incidents increase lately.

May have been as many as 40 shots fired. Police collecting evidence.

I hope this isnt some random shooting. Its bad either way but if random then others are at risk until shooters are caught. If it's personal then not so much. Still hoping they find the shooters asap!
