Bar Patrons Call Police After Finding 7-Year-Old Girl
A 7-year-old girl kidnapped on a Northridge street while playing with friends was found several hours later at a bar, police said Wednesday.
Police continued the search Wednesday for her abductor.
Initial reports indicated the child had not been harmed. Authorities later determined that she had been sexually assaulted, said Officer Kevin Maiberger of the LAPD Media Relations Section.
The girl was located at 11:47 p.m. Tuesday at Canoga Avenue and Roscoe Boulevard, about a mile from where she was last seen, said Sgt. Maria St. Pierre of the Los Angeles Police Department's Devonshire Station. Detectives believe an abductor dropped off the 7-year-old at the intersection before fleeing, St. Pierre said. http://www.nbc4.tv/news/5058523/detail.htmlJust when I think that I have seen the most depraved things a human can do to another human, somebody posts a new story...........
Why is it that when a custodial parent fails to provide for a child it is called neglect and is a criminal matter. But when a non custodial parent fails to provide it is called failure to support and is a civil matter?
