A man wanted in Missouri on first-degree murder charges was taking college classes in the Tri-State, police said.

Donald Robinson, 25, is suspected of killing a pregnant 17-year-old runaway in October 2001 by tying her up, locking her inside a car and setting the vehicle on fire, police said. His relationship to the teen is unclear.

Another suspect in the teen's death remains at large.

Donald Robinson, 25, was taken into custody for the deaths of a 17-year-old girl and her unborn child in Pulaski County, Missouri.

This coming Friday will mark four years to the day when the murders took place.

Police told 9News that new information finally led them to Robinson after all that time.

Robinson is the lead suspect in the 2001 slaying of Jerae James, 17, and her unborn child, who were locked inside a burning car and left for dead along a Pulaski County road.

It was a crime still vividly remembered there.
Robinson will likely be extradited back to Missouri by the end of the week.

The family of a Cincinnati murder victim says it was a report aired on Channel 9 that revealed to them the face of their loved one's killer.

Dominique Webb, 18, was shot on a street corner in Winton Hills last year but the suspect was able to get away.

When his family saw the report of a Cincinnati State student being arrested on other homicide charges earlier this week, they recognized the suspect, Donald Robinson, as the man who killed Webb last October.

Cincinnati police are taking the family's comments into that particular cold case very seriously.

They are now calling Robinson a suspect in Webb's death.

From an appeal filed in 2009:

http://caselaw.findlaw.com/mo-court-of-appeals/1354325.html

Luther Dwayne Martin (“Defendant”) was convicted, following a jury trial, of two counts of murder in the first degree... Count I charged Defendant with the death of Jerae Nicole James (“Victim”). Count II charged Defendant with the death of Victim's unborn child. The jury recommended a sentence of life imprisonment without the possibility of parole on each count, and the trial court sentenced Defendant accordingly.

One other thing, from September 2006:

Two other former soldiers also were arrested in the case, but one was released because of lack of evidence.

Donald Robinson appears to be one of those two, and that's all I could find. Perhaps never prosecuted?

Jerae's unborn baby was a little girl named Jalen Tamara:
