I wonder if there is something specific that makes the family feel she is being held against her will or if it's just the fact that she is gone and hasn't returned.

I hope this is just a runaway situation and she returns home soon!

MD - Srivarnika Uma Varada, 17, Bethesda, 22 March 2016

17-year-old Srivarnika Uma Varada (goes by Uma) is missing from Bethesda and her family now believes she's being held against her will: http://www.wusa9.com/news/local/miss...-will/99849731

I've seen a couple places report she was last seen at noon, though a reporter from one of the news stations in the area said she was last seen getting on her bus at the end of the school day (2:30). Spring break for her school started 3/24, so she still would have had one more day of class left before break started.

Since my daughter is in the same county, I can tell you that spring break started 3/24 so she would have had one more day of class to attend.

It appears that her parents believe she is being held because it's unlike her to go missing or stay away without contact.
    There's barely anything out there.
Her picture is being shared however no comments of interest. Not sure what to think.
There's a "find Uma" page on fb claiming she has a medical condition. Can't link on my phone. Sorry😔

I cannot imagine what her parents must be going through! At one point she's leaving school and heading for the bus, just like any other day. Then... *poof*. Nowhere to be seen.
Found, deceased. RIP Inchworm and thanks to all who helped her and cared about her.
