Shoot first, even if the tail is wagging.

**Disturbing video at the link -- watch at your own peril**

"One minute Yvonne Rosado was dancing with her pet pit bull inside their Bronx apartment — and the next, her dog was dead in the hallway, a city cop’s bullet in its head.

A gruesome video captured the officer, responding to a domestic violence call at a neighboring apartment, pumping a fatal gunshot into beloved 4-year-old Spike."

Well, I guess he needed to be sure that he wasn't over-licked by a super friendly dog, in case he didn't get home at night (or was licked too much by this clearly friendly dog).

Good to see the Post calling things as they see them, without any political bias. Sure, some will say it's 'just' a dog -- but for many folks, dogs are family members.

The related articles in that link say it all.

The bad apples just keep coming, one after another, and nothing gets done about it. Because no matter how many bad apples there are, people keep on supporting them no matter what. Even when the cops are convicted of wrongdoing, they still get no punishment. This is a very strange society, we live in.

I think this must be be how people want it. Cops have the authority to shoot and kill some of us under certain circumstances and don't have to answer for it. The majority of citizens don't see the cops who kill as bad apples. People support them, defend them, even applaud them, and so it keeps happening.
