Missing woman last seen leaving French Quarter

According to friends, Saltaformaggio left Mandeville Friday to meet friends in New Orleans.
She was reported missing Saturday March 26 after friends and family said they had not heard from her.

Why would the above article even mention that she left Mandeville for New Orleans to meet friends if she was last seen by these friends in New Orleans?
 
Friends reported last seeing Saltaformaggio leaving the area of St. Peter and Bourbon streets in New Orleans around 4 p.m. Saltaformaggio responded to text messages about an hour later, but has not been seen or heard from by friends or family since.

Saltaformaggio is described as a white female standing 5’8” tall and weighing about 130 lbs., with brown eyes and dirty blonde hair. She was last seen wearing a beige sleeveless tunic top, blue jeans and black ballet slippers, while carrying a blue Michael Kors purse.

She was driving her silver 2014 Honda Accord bearing Louisiana license plate #YLU541

wonder what the messages said? did they indicate she was lost, where she was going, who she was with? Not much info :(
 
Agreed. Who was she with when her friends saw herbat 4pm? Was she in a building or on the street? (In the quarter you walk around in and out of bars- many have outside sitting areas) the weather was really nice on Friday.

did they spot her at 6pm on foot or in her car? Was she in distress? Did she look intoxicated or drugged?

They aren't giving us much info at all.
 
She was from naseau- graduated highschool there. Then went to college at Southeastern in La.

She looks stable and happy on Facebook with lots of friends that look normal and well adjusted as well. She's ran the red dress run in Nola and is at the parades etc. and at weddings and Nola restaurants and Saints games. looks like a normal happy South Louisiana girl.

There is a Capital One Bank and a Walgreens at the corner of Carrollton and Canal. Wonder if she was caught on bank camera.
 
There are no reports that she is a probation officer. Just that she works in the office
