On Oct, 22, 2013, Dean Kelly Morrison, 44, suddenly vanished after being fired from his job at the Stump Lake Ranch near Kamloops along Highway 5A.

His vehicle was left at the ranch, and his personal effects were still in the trailer he kept at the sprawling property where he worked as a painter.

His wallet was left behind, and his mother said his bank account was not touched following his mysterious disappearance.

Bumping, although the German, Lars Mittank who is missing in Bulgarian case is completely unrelated to this one, noting that Lars seemed to suffer possible mental instability after taking prescribed antibiotics, prior to his mysterious disappearance.

Just noticed that Dean coincidentally went missing after taking antibiotics, could a bad reaction to the medication, create- well a bad reaction?
FWIW. speculation, imo.

The mother of a missing local man has released more details about the day of his disappearance in the hopes it might lead to more information.

Dean Morrison, a 44-year-old father of three, has been missing since late October.
Elizabeth Faber wrote on the morning of Oct. 22, her son was terminated from his contract painting position at Stump Lake Ranch because he was lethargic and looked unwell, according to the statement.
Morrison’s vehicle wasn’t running properly, so a tow truck was called at 9:30 a.m. and arrived after 1 p.m.
Some time between the tow truck being called and arriving, Morrison went missing.
The statement noted Morrison had some facial sores the day of his disappearance, which could be linked to a bacterial infection he was on antibiotics for at the time.

According to the statement, Morrison and his wife had recently separated and he was also suffering from depression

Four years later, and still no leads on Dean Morrison’s disappearance

The mother of missing Merritt man Dean Morrison feels the trail has gotten even colder in the year since a private investigator renewed efforts to find out what happened to her son on a fateful October morning in 2013.

“It feels to me that it’s colder because [police] haven’t said one word to me about it,” said Morrison’s mother, Elizabeth Faber, adding that when she calls the RCMP in Kelowna they always tell her they will get back to her, but never do.

Denis Gagnon, president of BCSI, said Morrison’s disappearance was originally reported as a missing person case, but he’s approaching it as possibly something more sinister, believing foul play may have played a factor.

“I don’t have the proof, I’m still working on that, but I’m not convinced it was just a missing person,” said Gagnon.

Faber said she doesn’t know what Gagnon’s report found as he has not shared his findings with her.

Gagnon told the Herald the findings of in his report cannot be disclosed publicly in order to protect the integrity of the investigation.

From The Vanished audio podcast:

Dean's boss offered to call a tow truck for him that morning and asked him to find a ride home. Sometime between the time the tow truck was called and its arrival several hours later, Dean disappeared.

Most info seems to come from Dean's boss who was the last person to see him. Dean's mom says the boss and Dean had an altercation where the boss was shoving Dean but he (the boss) didn't say that Dean hit back.

Dean's female friend is interviewed. She says close friends but then indicates to the effect " we would still be together" ?? She also says she didn't like the group he was hanging out with ...

I find it very interesting about the phone calls the friend says she received from Corrections Canada. The friend says the voice messages left are that you have a phone call from Corrections Canada. She does NOT say that the message says they are collect phone calls. Inmates have to call collect, so that would indicate to me that possibly the calls are from an employee with Corrections rather than from an inmate.

(Note: Near end of podcast, host mentions Ryan Shtuka who disappeared in the area, but sounds like the host says he was recovered. AFAIK, Ryan is still missing).
