Deceased/Not Found TN - Wesley Ridge, 39, Marion County, 8 March 2016

Wesley Ridge was raised in the north end of Marion County and most recently had been living at a home near Hale's Bar Marina on U.S. Highway 41.

Ridge's father reported him missing March 10. A check of phone records shows Ridge's phone was used the day he went missing but not since.

Ridge is described as a white man about 5 feet 10 inches tall, 230 pounds with short hair and facial hair.

Wesley Ridge left his girlfriend's house on March 8th and got into a car with a co-worker.

He’s been missing since that time. Investigators interviewed the coworker who picked Ridge up.

The coworker told investigators they went for a short ride, and then he dropped Ridge off at Ronnie’s Red Eye Tavern in Jasper.

That would be the last time the coworker saw him.

Ridge, 39 when he was last seen on March 8, 2016, had most recently lived at a home near Hales Bar Marina on U.S. Highway 41. Ridge had worked at Valmont Industries in Jasper. During the initial investigation, a female friend told authorities that Ridge walked into his home and then left in a car with another man. That man told investigators he had given Ridge a ride to a bar in nearby Jasper, but no one at the bar remembered seeing him, authorities said in 2016.

Distinguishing Characteristics Caucasian male. Blond hair, blue eyes. Ridge's head was shaved at the time of his disappearance, and he had a goatee. He has scars from a hernia operation and gallbladder removal, a tattoo of the name "EMMA" on his chest over his heart, and a tattoo of an eagle on the top of his left shoulder.

Details of Disappearance
Ridge was last seen in Jasper, Tennessee on March 8, 2016. His cellular phone was used that afternoon, and there hasn't been any activity since. A female friend stated he walked into his home, then left in a vehicle with a male coworker. The man said he gave Ridge a ride to Ronnie’s Red Eye Tavern, but this hasn't been confirmed and no one at the bar remembered having seen him that day.

Ridge's uncle, a pawnshop owner, was robbed and murdered on May 17, 2016, and his pawnshop set on fire. Two months later, authorities arrested a woman in his death, and she was later found guilty of first-degree murder and sentenced to life in prison plus eighty years. Investigators don't believe Ridge's disappearance is related to his uncle's murder.

At the time of his disappearance, Ridge was living near Hales Bar Marina on U.S. Highway 41 just outside of Guild, Tennessee, and worked at Valmont Industries in Jasper. His case remains unsolved.

Body found near old coal mine in Sequatchie County; authorities investigating

Authorities in Sequatchie County, Tennessee, hope a forensic examination of skeletal remains found Monday in a remote area near an old coal mine on the Cumberland Plateau will lead to a positive identification.

Those missing men include 31-year-old Wesley Ridge, who went missing in Marion County in March 2016 as a possibility.

William Shayne Whited has been charged with First Degree Murder, Felony First Degree Murder and Aggravated Robbery. Wesley's body has not been found.
