Blood found inside Jerome Dempsey Johnson’s home Saturday morning raises concern that he might be injured or worse, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

(...)

“There are indications inside that house that something has occurred on the foul play side, which give us concern,” Farhat said. Officers discovered blood “that was enough that we have concern and homicide responded,” he said.

“We are conducting an investigation as if it were a murder. But we’re not saying that it is. We don’t know exactly what occurred,” he said. “We don’t know if it’s something that may have occurred in the past. We just don’t know.”

Farhat said there were other leads that give police concern but he declined to specify them. Johnson had been renting the home just a few months, he said.

If he's alive after that much blood loss he would be in a hospital imo. I'm sure they checked that out, so I'm not feeling very hopeful.

On News4Jax last evening, the man bush hogging was interviewed by a reporter. He probably shouldn't have spilled the beans but he said that the skeletonized-remains were wrapped in a green tarp and placed in a black bag. As soon as he saw what looked like bones, he stopped and called police. They have his bush hog still as evidence. So there's the conclusion of homicide. Foul play suspected in discovery of human remains in wooded area
