COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — A boy who fought brain cancer and was told he had just weeks to live will turn 7 years old on April 5, and his family hopes the community will help make his birthday extra special.
Logan Green’s family is asking everyone to flood Logan with birthday cards to show him how many people care about him.
On a Facebook post, Logan’s mother Crisandra Green writes: “It would be fun to ask his supporters to help us show him what a true Superhero he is, by sending a birthday card telling him about how he’s inspired you or why you think he’s a hero?!”
Logan’s family calls him “a true superhero in every sense of the word!” Logan was first diagnosed with brain cancer when he was 5 and was told he had no chance of survival, Green wrote.
But after spending more than 1 1/2 months in the intensive care unit, he learned how to walk, talk and swallow again.
He recently was diagnosed with a condition that causes strokes and he’s recovering from a second brain surgery.
“The day after surgery Logan had a large stroke that took his vision for short time. It was terrifying for him,” Green wrote.
Cards can be sent to:
