    UK - Robert, 35, Suphan, 44, & James Goodman, 9, Swindon, 21 March 2016

    http://www.westerndailypress.co.uk/P...ail/story.html

Robert and Suphan Goodman were last seen in Swindon two and a half weeks ago, and have not been seen by friends or family since.

Police were alerted when their son James, nine, stopped attending school, and now it appears the entire family have gone missing.
Vague details at the moment with no fixed date of disappearance.
Edited to add: They were last seen on 21st March (according to this link:http://www.itv.com/news/west/update/...windon-family/ , so I have updated title

That seems to date their last sighting at the beginning of Easter week. I wonder if they could have gone on holiday, either in the UK or abroad, and something happened to them.

I'm also wondering whether James really is the child of them both or a child from an earlier relationship of one of them. Suphan sounds as though it might be a Thai name and I notice she is almost 10 years older than her husband.

According to the article on the itv website above, it seems that the little boy hasn't been at school for "a number of weeks", but they were last seen on the 21st March in the town centre of Swindon. I think that most schools would have broken up for Easter Holidays on 24th March, so I think that James had been missing from school before that.

BBM: James is described as mixed white/asian here: http://www.fromestandard.co.uk/Famil...ail/story.html

Robert, 35, is described as a white male; Suphan, 44, as an Asian female and James, nine, as a mixed white/Asian male.

I can find a facebook page for Suphan:
    https://www.facebook.com/seasuphan.goodman
    And one for Rob:
    https://www.facebook.com/rob.goodman.775?fref=ufi

    -A wedding in June 2014.
-Not sure if Robert is the biological father of the son, but there seems to be a relationship going back many years.
-There is a history of travel back to Thailand so maybe they took a last minute trip - sometimes there are irresistible deals on Airfares between the UK and Bangkok.

He definitely looks like both of theirs. Praying this family is taking extended down time...

But wouldn't the airline records/passport checks confirm that?

I suppose so. And now this most recent report from the daily mail states that they haven't left the country.

-No record of them leaving the country and they are not wanted for crimes
-It is understood that the family have had a number of personal problems and could have just gone elsewhere to try and start their life again.

I'm curious there is no mention of a family car or if their home shows signs of belongings missing. I'd have thought a home search would reveal that things had been packed-up if they have fled to start a new life. ie if passports, identity papers, valuables and yes, the car are missing...

ETA: a scroll back in time on Suphan's fb show's some alarming posts that indicate trouble with a third party, but this was years ago.

This is massive speculation, purely my opinion etc, but I wonder if there were any problems with her visa? There's a post of FB about going to the Thai Embassy from 2012, and if they've only been married a few years, perhaps she hasn't got permanent residency yet?

She might be a citizen from birth and then this would be completely off the mark, but just a thought.
