Found Deceased Canada - Shawn Van De Sande, 32, Toronto, 2 April 2016

Unfortunately Shawn was found deceased. He struggled for many years with mental illness. My heart goes out to his family.

Also the correct spelling of his last name is van de sande.
 
Correct on both counts, thank you. My condolences to all who loved Shawn.
 
Thanks for updating okie. The Toronto Police had the spelling wrong from the start. I just wish there was a magic solution for those (including myself) that struggle with mental illness. It can be so devastating for the person suffering from it and those who love them.
 
Very sorry to hear this, my post saying Mr Van De Sande. was found included an exclamation point because i had assumed and hoped he was found alive.
Condolences to all his family and friends, and many people in the music community, he is sure to be missed.

Another talented musician is missing in Montreal too, also apparently depressed..

dotr - I completely understand When many of us saw that he was found we were thrilled. This excitement turned to despair when we realized that he was not found alive.
