Brenda Halpin is described as a white woman, 37 years old, standing 5 feet tall and weighing about 90 pounds. She is missing from the Poplar Hill Road area of Chenango Bridge.

She was last seen wearing pajamas of an unknown color, and might have a black coat and sneakers.

Halpin has Huntington's disease, which impairs her ability to walk. She has no cellphone and does not drive.

Searches from the air and on foot with police dogs for up to a half-mile radius of Halpin's residence turned up no evidence to help steer officials where to look next.

Halpin suffers from Huntington's disease, which affects her physical abilities that include walking normally. As a result of her disease, she could appear to others as if she is under the influence of alcohol. Patients with Huntington's disease tend to prefer traveling on areas with the least physical resistance, so police have also focused search efforts on nearby roads, railroad tracks and along rivers.

Members of the public around the Chenango Bridge area are encouraged to check their out-buildings, basements, sheds or crawlspaces, in the event Halpin has sought refuge there.

The last person to see her was her boyfriend -- whom she lived with on Poplar Hill Road in Chenango Bridge.

Halpin’s boyfriend went to a relatives house, which was local, for a get together or party with the couple’s child. When he called the next morning – Halpin didn't answer.

Interesting. He went to a party or get-together with their child, but she doesn't go… then she is missing???
Why didn't she go?
He called the next morning??
Strange!

IMOO.

Ok, so he went to a local party..
But he stayed overnight?
Didn't they live together?
Why did he not come home with their child after the party?

She was last seen at home, by the boyfriend
But she was wearing a coat
So she was going out
But she doesn't travel far by herself because of the disabilities associated with her disease
Did she not tell her boyfriend where she was going?

So nothing new on this dear lady?
So hoping she had come home

I can't find anything reported since April 12

I've been away from WS for a few days and just popped on yo see activity on this thread. I'm confused! The boyfriend went to a get together with a child that is his and Brenda's child? When I first read that I thought the child belonged to the relatives he was visiting. And then he and the child stayed overnight at the relative's home and when he called Brenda the next morning, she was gone?

I'm not buying it.

"The Broome County Sheriff's Office said the last person to see her was her boyfriend -- whom she lived with on Poplar Hill Road in Chenango Bridge."

Where was the 9 year old daughter at that point? Didn't she see her mom at the same time as the boyfriend? Was the daughter already at the get together before the boyfriend?

The article also mentions:

"Halpin’s boyfriend went to a relatives house, which was local, for a get together or party with the couple’s child."

IMOO.
