This is something worth keeping an eye on. Maybe coincidence, but two of the sets of remains were found in wooded areas along I-435. The tight geographical region and short window of time in which these remains were discovered raises some eyebrows. Anyone know of any similar discoveries in this area that I am not aware of?

I'm not good at creating maps, but maybe someone could map the locations to see just how close?

I am in KC, MO and my family and friends mushroom hunt. We are all talking about this. It is very upsetting.

I don't see anything obvious that particularly points to a serial killer here. The remains were found within days of each other in the same metro area but it could be just a coincidence. All the remains were skeletal so they may have been out there for who knows how long and the timing of their death does not have to be similar. At first glance the people finding them don't appear to be connected to any kind of purposeful search and all the discoveries are reported to be random. So I don't really see why the victims of a serial killer would be more likely to be randomly found within days of each other than any other deceased.

My map is very approximate. The locations aren't far but not adjacent either. It sounds like the I-435 could be on a serial killer's route but as far as I can read the map, (and I am a stranger to this area), the I-435 forms a loop and a person who frequented the MO side of the I-435 where one set of remains were found wouldn't necessarily have any reason to drive along the KS stretch of the I-435 where the other set of remains was fould. The approximate locations of the two sets of remains along the I-435 are about as far from each other as you can get in the east-west direction (if the loop was a clockface, about 3 o'clock and 10 o'clock) and the shortest drive from one to another wouldn't be on the I-435 at all.

[/URL]Investigators say the remains appear to be those of a white man who was 20 to 30 years old, about 6 feet tall and wearing a Puka shell necklace with a shark tooth.
Police suspect he probably had been missing for a year.

This pertains to the remains found in KS.
