Given her ailing health, unless she is with people somewhere I would imagine a good outcome is unlikely. Surely she needs constant medical care. In one of her posts she talks about wondering if she'll see her daughter while still alive.

What the.... this is unexpected! Condolences to the family.

Rip Jordie. It's sad that she was battling a devastating illness and was murdered.

Would someone please alert when the remains located are positively identified?

I edited the title to reflect the arrests but I can't move it to located until LE has positively ID'd the remains as those of Jordie. :(

Thanks in advance! You guys are a great help to us by alerting these matters! :blowkiss:

2 charged in St. Augustine woman's murder that was caught on video
Surveillance video from two bed-and-breakfasts caught Branson and Hudson walking at 88 Cedar St. at about 3:30 a.m. April 9.

An altercation can be seen between the two, and Branson is seen leaving the area at 3:45 a.m. Hudson is not seen leaving, according to the document.

Branson is seen returning to the scene about 6:30 a.m. in his mother's blue car with a woman, later identified as Christeen Janelle Thomas. The video shows Branson putting Hudson's body in the back seat behind the driver's seat, while Thomas acts as a lookout, the document says.

(...)

Police interviewed Thomas, who told them that Branson took Hudson's body back to his home on County Road 208 and removed it from the car. She said she saw Branson attempt to clean the car by spraying down the floor mats with a garden hose.
(...)

Branson and Thomas led investigators to human remains believed to belong to Hudson, which were found concealed underground near the home.

John Harry Branson III enters guilty plea to second-degree murder

http://staugustine.com/local-news/news/2017-04-13/john-harry-branson-iii-enters-guilty-plea-second-degree-murder

The man accused in the April 2016 stabbing death of St. Augustine artist Jordie Hudson pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in a St. Johns County courtroom Wednesday.

John Harry Branson III entered the open plea to the court before Circuit Judge Howard Maltz during a packed afternoon session.

He also pleaded guilty to a single count of abuse of a dead human body.

Maltz scheduled sentencing for Branson for May 30.

He is facing a possible sentence of 23 years to life for the murder charge. Thomas remains in jail after a judge revoked her bond in September upon finding she was defying the judge’s order to not contact Branson — who has remained in jail since his arrest. She is currently scheduled to go trial with jury selection set for May 15.

Why is he cut off two fingers? Jeez

Christeen Janelle-Linn Thomas, entered a guilty plea to accessory to second-degree murder after the fact, for her involvement in the April 2016 murder of Jordie Hudson.

Thomas’ boyfriend, 40-year-old John Harry Branson, pleaded guilty to Hudson’s murder last month and is scheduled for sentencing May 30.

Thomas, who had also been charged with five counts of retail theft and a single count of organized scheme to defraud, was facing a possible 15 years in prison for the accessory charge. She was also looking at a maximum sentence of five years in prison for the fraud charge, as well as possible jail time for each of the theft charges. Under the terms of her plea agreement, she is now facing a range of five to 10 years in prison for all charges, to be followed with five to 10 years of drug offender probation upon her release.

Maltz will decide the extent of her sentence after a hearing June 7.

Branson gets 50 years in Jordie Hudson murder case

http://staugustine.com/news/local-news/2017-05-31/branson-gets-50-years-jordie-hudson-murder-case

In a morning sentencing hearing at the St. Johns County courthouse, Circuit Court Judge Howard Maltz sentenced 40-year-old John Harry Branson III to 50 years in prison for two charges stemming from the fatal stabbing.

Maltz said he considered the few mitigating factors in the case, which included that Branson admitted to the crime “in short order” after he was apprehended and that he spared the victim’s family the ordeal of a trial by pleading guilty, and sentenced Branson to 40 years in prison for the murder charge and added on another 10 for the second-degree felony of abuse of a dead body.

“Because of the nature of Count 2, I do feel that it needs to be run consecutive,” Maltz said.
