what little I could find:

Police have followed different leads and processed a home in the 1500 block of Hedge Road as a crime scene. Police are trying to identify and interview people who were at the home on Sunday.

Gibson was last seen at 5:30 p.m. Sunday night but they are now reporting she was last seen around 10 p.m. Gibson was reported missing by her mother, of Urbana, about 6:15 a.m Tuesday.

Neighborhood scene of "ongoing investigation"
The search for a missing woman continues. Police are going door-to-door looking for information about Ashley Gibson.

She was last seen at a home in the 1500-block of Hedge Road. Authorities say there was a large group of people there when she was visiting friends.

(...)

A crime scene unit searched the premises earlier this week. They investigated after a brief standoff where police had to order a man to come out of the house.

After a multiple-day search, Champaign police extracted human remains from Clinton Lake that they fear are those of Ashley Chemere Gibson, last seen a week earlier.

http://www.news-gazette.com/news/lo...-found-are-connected-missing-womans-case.html

Police say Gibson was visiting friends in the Hedge Road neighborhood last Sunday. Tuesday night, neighbors say officers blocked off the entire area. They turned a home there into a crime scene.

Police were there through Wednesday, removing concealed evidence. During that time, police issued the alert for Gibson.

http://www.illinoishomepage.net/new...s-found-in-lake-may-be-those-of-missing-woman video at link shows lake and search of the home Ashley was last seen. They say the search of the home led to the search of the lake.

Champaign detectives said their investigation into Gibson’s disappearance was consistent with how the remains were discovered, including the fact that the remains were suspected to be dismembered.

The Champaign Police Department determined Gibson had died in Champaign County, so they decided the Champaign County Coroner would retain jurisdiction over the dismembered human remains. The remains were then taken from Clinton Lake and brought back to the Coroner’s Office for an autopsy.

An autopsy performed on Monday afternoon led to a positive identification being made through a tattoo and visual identification.

I really was not expecting this for some reason. Her picture is just so pretty and she seems like someone you would really like to get to know. RIP Ashley.

Just watched the presser. They have have 4 men in custody...still looking for 2 others. All charged with Dismembering a Human Body. Very sad.

http://www.news-gazette.com/news/lo...nds-probable-cause-wake-grisly-testimony.html

Judge Tom Difanis heard enough of the details of what happened to Ashley Gibson's lifeless body to find probable cause to hold two of the six men accused of that crime for trial. Difanis set the next court date for Randale Banks, 28, who listed an address in the 2700 block of Clayton Drive, and Reginald Logan, 23, of the 1300 block of North Neil, for May 31...

Police contacted Hedrick, who also reported that he had left the house either late April 17 or early the next day, and that when he returned he discovered Miss Gibson's cold, unresponsive body on the floor. He admitted that he then contacted the women and his other male friends who had been present the night before, asking them to return to the house...

Hedrick admitted to police that he and the other men agreed they needed to get rid of the body, which they first bathed and bleached, then wrapped in a rug. All the men then took turns breaking the dead woman's legs with a sledge hammer and burned parts of the body in a fire pit in the back yard.

Only two?

All 6 are now in custody! Just heard on the news...can't find an MSM article yet...

Hedrick pleads guilty to role in dismemberment - November 7th

http://www.illinoishomepage.net/news/local-news/hedrick-pleads-guilty-to-role-in-dismemberment/606095644

A Champaign man has pleaded guilty to dismembering a woman's body in April. Davion Hedrick is one of six people charged in connection with the crime. Investigators say Ashley Gibson died at Hedrick's home.

Authorities don't believe she was killed. Investigators say Gibson had been using cocaine. She was at Hedrick's home on Hedge Road.

Authorities say Hedrick found her dead in his home April 18. State's Attorney Julia Rietz says Hedrick called some of the people who were at the party to come back and they decided to try to get rid of her body.

Authorities say they dismembered and burned her body in Hedrick's backyard. Investigators found Gibson's body in Clinton Lake about a week later.

2 sentenced to 7 years for role in dismemberment - December 20th

http://www.news-gazette.com/news/local/2016-12-27/2-sentenced-7-years-role-dismemberment.html

Two men who admitted they took part last spring in planning to dismember a woman who died of a drug overdose are headed to prison for seven years.

Randale Banks and Reginald Logan are eligible for day-for-day good time, and with credit for 244 days already served in jail, they could be free in less than three years.

The pair entered guilty pleas Tuesday morning before Champaign County Judge Randy Rosenbaum to the less serious offense of conspiracy to commit dismembering of a human body, a Class 1 felony.

Sentencing for 4th man in Gibson case - January 23rd

http://www.illinoishomepage.net/news/local-news/sentencing-for-4th-man-in-gibson-case/644245290

A Champaign man was sentenced to seven years in prison for taking part in the dismemberment of Ashley Gibson.

Four of six people involved in the case have been sentenced. Monday, it was for 25-year old Deundrea Weatherspoon.

He, along with four of five others, pleaded guilty. So far, every person involved has received the same seven-year sentence.

Next to be sentenced will be Davion Hedrick, who pleaded guilty as well, but he doesn't have any agreements with the state as to what his sentence could be shortened to. He will be in court again next month.

That just leaves Donte Meeks. As of now, his plea of not guilty still stands.

http://www.news-gazette.com/news/local/2017-01-23/my-heart-has-been-snatched-me-wvideo.html

What was different in Weatherspoon's case was that Assistant State's Attorney Troy Lozar asked family members of Miss Gibson to tell the judge about the pain they experienced.

"My heart has been snatched from me. Out of all my six kids, we were closest. Sometimes I can't get out of bed," said Ranae Gibson, Miss Gibson's mother, who reported her missing when she didn't come home April 18.

In an emotional hourlong hearing, Ranae Gibson sobbed as she summoned the memory of identifying her 24-year-old daughter's remains, calling it "the worst day of my life."

She said her daughter had two sons, ages 9 and 4. The older knows what happened, while the younger keeps asking where his mommy is, she said.

"Ashley never met a stranger. If you knew her, you loved her. It wasn't supposed to happen to her," she said.

Miss Gibson's younger brother, Raymond Newell, said he also struggles with depression.

"It didn't have to go the way it did. There's a big hole in our family. We are all trying to find things to fill that void," he said.
