Suspected 18-year-old prom shooter dead, 2 students injured
Roller said one officer fired at the suspected shooter, 18-year-old Jakob Wagner, and was able to take him into custody. Roller said Wagner used a rifle.

(...) The district said in a statement that "quick actions" taken by police and district staff to secure the building "prevented what might have otherwise been a disaster of unimaginable proportions, and we are extremely grateful for their well-rehearsed response."

The Langlade County Coroner said Wagner died at a hospital around 1 a.m. Sunday, according to a report by WAOW 9.

What a terrible way to have to remember your prom !
