These remains have been identified as Elizabeth Ann Ferrell. I did a search on this forum and did not find a "missing" thread on her. A google search also turns up no information. So sad. Prayers for those connected to her.
"Deputies have identified the body of a woman that was found by a fisherman in Whiskey Bay over the weekend.Investigators say they were able to identify the woman as 29-year-old Elizabeth Ann Ferrell, of Humble, Texas, with assistance from the Louisiana State Police Crime Lab and AFIS."

Officials aren't sure how long the body had been in Whiskey Bay, but Stassi added that based on its condition, it probably had not been longer than 72 hours.
Officials said they hope an autopsy being conducted Monday will shed more light on how Ferrell died.
Now, the case is being investigated as a murder. The sheriff's office said that they suspect foul play as investigators noticed marks around her neck and she was naked.
Iberville Parish Sheriff's Office reports Elizabeth Ferrell, 29, died from strangulation. Her body was found Saturday in the Whiskey bay. Autopsy results reveal she had blunt force trauma to the head from when her body was thrown from the Interstate, but the official cause of death was asphyxiation by strangulation per Sheriff Stassi.

Many of the females that are traveling as escorts don't keep in contact with anyone. Not sure if this is the case but its strange she wasn't reported missing. Also with the Festival going on last weekend maybe she was in the area for the festival and was abducted?

Whiskey Bay is where Mickey Shunick's bike was found:
I know her killer is in prison, but just sad how this place is apparently a dumping ground for criminals.

Husband of Humble woman strangled, found in Louisiana bay charged with murder
Twenty-eight-year-old Jonathan Christopher Allee was arrested at a home in Humble Friday afternoon and charged with murder. Police believe he killed his wife, Elizabeth Ferrell.

After interviewing more than 20 witnesses in Humble, Texas, detectives believe Allee is the only suspect in the grisly crime.
"Through some electronic cameras, video and his own words, we have brought it down and have enough to arrest him for second degree murder," Stassi said.
It is believed Ferrell was killed before her body was thrown from I-10 into the waterway near the Whiskey Bay exit.
